Urban Art

There’s so much creativity decorating the streets of Lisbon… This page could be endless. Here’s just a few (of many!) favourites.

Murals in Alfama

I love this large mural by artist Tami Hopf. It’s in Alfama, on 📍 Calçadinha da Figueira. There’s so much more art to be found in these charming narrow streets. A creative 3D piece can be found on 📍 Beco da Lapa…

Rua Damasceno Monteiro

This piece is found near the top, higher part of 📍 Rua Damasceno Monteiro, not too far from cosy cafe, Curva. The same artist also did a piece on a basketball court in Lisbon.

Tiles…

There’s a lot of tiled art in Lisbon… I think many facades are a piece of art in themselves. This modern piece of tiled art can be found below 📍 Jardim Botto Machado, just opposite the Pantheon.

Stairs and Street Art

Just below the Miradouro of Graca there’s steps towards Mouraria and the way down (or up) is street art paradise. 📍 Caracol da Graca is the name of the steps.

Greek Gods

On the road between 📍 Santa Apolonia train station and rooftop bar-restaurant, Ferroviário, there’s this large pink piece of art!

Ruins and Art

Near the old Castelo São Jorge and only a few steps from the beautiful Portas do Sol, there’s a courtyard of ruin houses. Art and nature have taken over here. 📍 Pátio de Dom Fradique.
